Making A Windshield And Auto Glass Claim?
Making A Windshield And Auto Glass Claim?
There are third party companies that insurance or fleet companies contract with to handle the daily reporting and filing of certain types of glass claims. Most insurance companies do not handle their own glass claims calls, but rather use networks such as LYNX Services, Harmon Solutions Group, Alliance, Quest, or SGN (Safelite Glass Network) to name a few. These TPA companies then contract with thousand of glass companies across the country to perform work on insureds vehicles. These networks are all great companies, but insureds need to be aware that sometimes these networks will try to limit choice in regards to where work can be performed. This tactic is commonly referred to as steering and is illegal in North America.
So why does this happen? It is simply a case of better economics for insurance companies. Many of these TPAs are glass companies themselves and have worked special arrangements with certain insurers for reduced rates and rebates. Sometimes this may not pose a problem, but only so long as these glass companies do not take short cuts in installation practices or provide sub-standard products for replacement. At Speedy Glass we can assure you we do neither and we do work for every major insurance carrier. We have signed contracts for the large insurers such as Geico, Progressive, Farmers, Allstate, American Family, AAA, State Farm, Liberty Mutual and many more that stipulate we will do work at prices they have requested. We use OEM products for replacements and leading edge resins for windshield glass repairs.
Do not just take a TPAs recommendation, be sure to ask for SPEEDY GLASS to do your work and be rest assured it is been done correctly. We have been in business for 60 years and have strong relationships with many of these companies. Feel free to submit your glass claim online or call 800-874-5277 and we will work with you and the TPA to file your claim and make sure you get your job done properly.
